Deployment and capital

Who deploys it, who funds it, and who could do both

AiR should not be run as a conventional venture raise. The fastest route is a strategic deployment or joint-venture model with an incumbent that already owns manufacturing, field service and forecourt relationships, with infrastructure capital brought in behind signed deployments.

Start with AIR-serv

AIR-serv already manufactures and operates forecourt air equipment across Europe under a fully managed revenue-share model with no upfront cost to the retailer. That is the exact deployment mechanism AiR needs. Simon Bolton at AIR-serv and Chris Hodges at Caledonia are the two calls that could solve capital, manufacturing, maintenance and distribution in one conversation.

The benchmark already exists

Caledonia paid GBP 143m for AIR-serv in 2023 and carries it at GBP 215m as at 31 March 2026. That is an analogue air, vacuum and jet-wash estate. AiR does not have to argue that forecourt air infrastructure can carry enterprise value; there is an institutional example sitting directly beside the concept.

Change the question

Do not ask who will give AiR fifty million pounds. Ask who can remove fifty million pounds of capital requirement from AiR. Investors in this sector are financing networks - contracted locations, recurring utilisation, essential services and data - not better hardware.

Strategy

The five reframings that make this work

Change the funding question

Do not ask who will give AiR fifty million pounds. Ask who can remove fifty million pounds of capital requirement from AiR. A strategic deployment partner with manufacturing, engineers and site contracts is worth more than the equivalent equity cheque, and costs no dilution.

Sell the network, not the machine

Investors in this sector are not financing a better charger. They are financing networks: physical locations, recurring utilisation, long-term contracts, essential services, data and expansion rights. AiR is the intelligent tyre-safety infrastructure layer for the road network, starting with a product motorists already understand.

The valuation benchmark already exists

Caledonia paid GBP 143m for AIR-serv and carries it at GBP 215m. That is an analogue air, vacuum and jet-wash estate. AiR adds vehicle intelligence, apps, telemetry, smart caps, fleet analytics, carbon measurement and edge compute on top of the same physical footprint.

Move hardware off the equity line

An AiR Infrastructure SPV owns the machines, an infrastructure investor funds them, AiR supplies and operates them, and the host receives hardware at no capital cost. Revenue splits three ways. That is the same logic the EV charging sector uses at scale.

If AIR-serv says no, that is also useful

A rejection simply clarifies that they are a competitor. The fallback is immediate: TSG and Gilbarco Veeder-Root for manufacture, installation and service, plus contract manufacturing and direct operator partnerships. Either way the answer arrives quickly.

AIR-serv Europe

Strategic JV and manufacture · UK and Western Europe

Fit 10/10Approach now

Europe's leading forecourt air, vacuum and jet-wash equipment manufacturer and operator, running a fully managed revenue-share estate.

This is the single most important conversation available to AiR. AIR-serv already owns manufacturing, field service, forecourt contracts, collections and the revenue-share mechanism that AiR needs for rapid rollout. Their institutional valuation also proves the asset class: an analogue air and vacuum estate is already worth hundreds of millions. AiR is the intelligent digital evolution of exactly that estate, so the correct framing is upgrade, not competition.

Verified evidence

  • States more than 23,000 machines across 15,000+ customer locations with 200+ field engineers, and UK manufacturing in Wigan and Stoke. (air-serv.co.uk)
  • Installs under a fully managed revenue-share structure with no upfront cost to the retailer, including maintenance, labour and parts. (air-serv.co.uk)
  • Acquired by Caledonia Private Capital for GBP 143m in 2023; carried at GBP 215m as at 31 March 2026 with a thesis of expanding the installed estate. (Caledonia)
  • Moved into digital fleet services with FleetFob, giving fleets centralised access to the inflation network. (air-serv.co.uk)
  • Appointed Simon Bolton as CEO of UK and Europe in August 2026 with a mandate around high growth, international expansion and technology innovation. (air-serv.co.uk)

They bring

  • - UK manufacturing capacity in Wigan and Stoke
  • - 200+ field engineers and a national service network
  • - 15,000+ existing customer locations and forecourt contracts
  • - Collections, payment and cash-handling infrastructure
  • - Fully managed revenue-share commercial model
  • - European distribution and installation capability
  • - FleetFob fleet access and administration layer

We bring

  • - Registration lookup and OEM pressure intelligence
  • - Four-channel automated inflation architecture
  • - Onboard AI inference and vehicle identification
  • - Consumer app, driver record and Journey Ready proposition
  • - Verified Care 90-day compliance and warranty layer
  • - Smart caps, home unit and portable product line
  • - Fleet analytics, carbon MRV and TyreSafe-facing observatory
  • - Edge compute and sovereign mesh network capability

Synergies

  • - Their revenue-share model is already the exact deployment mechanism AiR requires - nothing new to invent commercially.
  • - Every existing AIR-serv site is a pre-qualified AiR upgrade slot with an incumbent service relationship.
  • - FleetFob plus AiR fleet intelligence becomes a priced, verified fleet compliance product rather than an access fob.
  • - Their field engineers become the AiR maintenance network on day one, removing the hardest part of hardware scaling.
  • - Caledonia's stated mandate to grow the machine estate is funded appetite for precisely this upgrade.
  • - AiR data turns a capex estate into a recurring intelligence business, which is a valuation multiple story for Caledonia.

The ask
A ninety-minute technical and commercial session with AIR-serv management and a Caledonia observer, to scope an AIR-serv x AiR next-generation platform: they manufacture, install and service, AiR supplies the intelligence layer, IP and software, revenue is shared.

Who to speak with

Caledonia Private Capital

Infrastructure and growth capital · UK

Fit 9.5/10Approach now

The private capital owner of AIR-serv, with a stated mandate to grow the installed machine estate.

Caledonia is both the proof and the potential funder. Their own mark on AIR-serv is the strongest available third-party evidence that forecourt air infrastructure is an institutionally valuable asset class - and AiR is the version of it with software margins, recurring data and a fleet layer. Approach in parallel with AIR-serv management, never behind their back.

Verified evidence

  • Acquired AIR-serv Europe for GBP 143m in 2023 and values it at GBP 215m as at 31 March 2026. (Caledonia)
  • States an investment thesis of expanding the installed estate, growing air-machine opportunities and investing in operations and growth. (Caledonia)
  • Places a director, Chris Hodges, on the AIR-serv board. (Caledonia)

They bring

  • - Capital for estate expansion
  • - Board influence at AIR-serv
  • - Institutional validation of the asset class
  • - Buy-and-build discipline

We bring

  • - A multiple-expanding intelligence layer on an asset they already own
  • - Recurring software and data revenue
  • - Fleet and warranty compliance products
  • - A defensible IP estate

Synergies

  • - Their existing thesis is machine-estate growth; AiR raises revenue per machine rather than only machine count.
  • - An intelligent estate reframes AIR-serv from equipment services to infrastructure data at exit.
  • - They can fund deployed units directly, removing capital requirement from AiR entirely.

The ask
An exploratory conversation on whether Caledonia would support an AIR-serv x AiR platform programme, and on what terms deployed units could be balance-sheet financed.

Who to speak with

EG On The Move

Site estate and deployment · UK

Fit 9.5/10Approach now

Zuber Issa's separately run UK forecourt business, actively acquiring sites and expanding EV and fleet services.

They are actively converting petrol stations into mobility, convenience, energy and fleet-service destinations. AiR is a ready-made vehicle-care layer for exactly that transition, and can be offered with no upfront capital requirement on their side.

Verified evidence

  • EG Group sold most of its UK forecourt business to Asda and its remaining UK forecourt operations to Zuber Issa; EG On The Move is now run separately with Zuber Issa listed as CEO. (EG Group)
  • The May 2026 MPK acquisition expanded the Midlands footprint and was framed around expanding fast EV charging and fleet services. (EG On The Move)

They bring

  • - Prime forecourt locations
  • - Acquisitive site pipeline
  • - Fuel card and fleet customer base
  • - EV On The Move charging estate

We bring

  • - Differentiated customer experience
  • - Incremental service revenue with no capex
  • - TyreSafe-aligned safety proposition
  • - Site-level dashboard and ESG evidence

Synergies

  • - Fuel-card integration turns AiR into a fleet compliance service billed through channels they already own.
  • - Relevant to both ICE and EV customers, so it survives the energy transition on the same site.
  • - Dwell time during charging is dead time that AiR converts into a completed vehicle-care job.
  • - A visible safety amenity supports planning, community and ESG narratives around new site acquisitions.

The ask
Ten-site pilot, financed by AiR or its deployment partner, on revenue share, with an agreed path to fifty sites and a national rollout option.

Who to speak with

Motor Fuel Group

Site estate and deployment · UK

Fit 9.5/10Prototype / pilot ready

The UK's largest independent forecourt operator, converting its estate into an ultra-rapid EV charging platform.

MFG has already spent hundreds of millions transforming the energy side of the forecourt. AiR transforms the vehicle-care side, and a twenty to forty minute charge is the ideal window for a full four-tyre correction, tyre-health scan and app onboarding. Expect them to want working hardware and usage metrics before any corporate investment.

Verified evidence

  • Investing more than GBP 400m in its EV Power network, targeting more than 500 sites and around 3,000 ultra-rapid bays by 2030, and passed 1,000 ultra-rapid bays in July 2025. (Clayton Dubilier & Rice)
  • CD&R retains majority control; an Apollo Hybrid Value-led consortium invested around GBP 500m for a minority stake in August 2025. (Clayton Dubilier & Rice)
  • William Bannister is CEO. (motorfuelgroup.com)

They bring

  • - The largest independent UK forecourt estate
  • - Ultra-rapid charging hubs with long dwell
  • - CD&R and Apollo capital behind the platform
  • - Brand-scale national credibility

We bring

  • - Charge-window vehicle care
  • - Range-protecting pressure correction for EVs
  • - Per-hub utilisation and ESG data
  • - Consumer app and record

Synergies

  • - Under-inflation costs EV range directly, so tyre correction is an energy-efficiency service inside an energy business.
  • - Charging dwell is idle customer time that currently earns only convenience retail.
  • - Their EV Power hub buildout means new sites are being designed now - AiR can be specified in rather than retrofitted.
  • - One proposition covers both ICE and EV customers during a long transition.

The ask
A pilot at three to five EV Power hubs measuring session rate during charging dwell, with the option to specify AiR into new hub designs.

Who to speak with

  • - Consumer engagement at the bay

Synergies

  • - Same sites, same landlords, same install crews, second revenue line.
  • - Their fund-install-manage model maps one to one onto AiR deployment.
  • - Octopus brand is efficiency-led, and tyre pressure is the cheapest efficiency intervention in transport.

The ask
Co-location trial at a cluster of Be.EV sites, and an exploratory conversation with Octopus Energy Generation about financing AiR hardware in the same structure.

Who to speak with

GRIDSERVE

Site estate and deployment · UK

Fit 8.5/10Prototype / pilot ready

High-power charging operator on major UK roads, backed by TPG, Infracapital and Mitsubishi HC Capital.

Motorway and trunk-road locations are where under-inflation is most dangerous and where a pre-journey check has the greatest safety value. GRIDSERVE also carries the investor group - TPG, Infracapital, Mitsubishi HC - that becomes directly relevant to AiR once a contracted estate exists.

  • - Dwell monetisation
  • - Verified safety and CO2 reporting
  • - A second essential service in the same footprint

Synergies

  • - Their locations are precisely where a tyre failure becomes a motorway incident.
  • - Electric Forecourts are designed as destinations, so an additional service fits the format rather than fighting it.
  • - Warm route to TPG Rise, Infracapital and Mitsubishi HC for later infrastructure capital.

The ask
Two Electric Forecourt trial installations with joint safety measurement, plus an introduction to their infrastructure shareholders at the appropriate stage.

Who to speak with

Who to speak with

Osprey Charging

Infrastructure and growth capital · UK

Fit 7.5/10Contracted rollout

A charging network backed by Cube Infrastructure and Investec, with a syndicated senior debt facility.

Osprey is the financing template rather than the deployment partner: equity funds the company and early rollout, then asset debt funds thousands of deployed units. Their lending club is the template for an AiR Infrastructure SPV.

Verified evidence

  • Backed by Cube Infrastructure Fund II and Investec, and raised GBP 110m of senior debt in 2025 including Novuna, Societe Generale, Aldermore and the National Wealth Fund. (Osprey Charging)

They bring

  • - A proven UK lending club for charging assets
  • - Cube and Investec relationships
  • - Sites for co-location
  • - Asset-finance structuring precedent

We bring

  • - A complementary asset class with short payback
  • - Site-level revenue uplift
  • - Measurable decarbonisation for lenders

Synergies

  • - Their lender list is a ready-made target list for AiR hardware debt.
  • - Co-location proves cross-service utilisation before an SPV is raised.
  • - National Wealth Fund participation in their facility shows public capital will follow proven models.

The ask
A conversation about co-location, and a structural conversation about how their senior debt facility was assembled.

Who to speak with

Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners and Aegis Energy

Infrastructure and growth capital · UK

Fit 8/10Prototype / pilot ready

An infrastructure investor that backed Aegis Energy's network of multi-energy refuelling hubs for commercial vehicles from concept.

Quinbrook was willing to back a network buildout rather than only a mature operating business, and focuses on transport decarbonisation. That makes them unusually suitable for AiR once fuel, emissions and fleet benefits are evidenced - especially in HGV, LCV and logistics depots.

Verified evidence

  • Quinbrook committed up to GBP 100m to Aegis Energy to build a UK network of multi-energy refuelling hubs for commercial vehicles. (Quinbrook)

They bring

  • - Network-stage capital appetite
  • - Transport decarbonisation focus
  • - Commercial vehicle hub locations via Aegis
  • - Long-horizon infrastructure discipline

  • - Measured fuel and CO2 savings per fleet vehicle
  • - Depot and hub deployment model
  • - Verified MRV-grade carbon data
  • - Commercial vehicle safety compliance

Synergies

  • - HGV and LCV under-inflation carries the largest absolute fuel and tyre cost, so the payback case is strongest here.
  • - Aegis hubs are being designed now, so AiR can be specified into the hub template.
  • - Their decarbonisation mandate needs measurable interventions, and pressure correction is directly measurable.

The ask
Specification of AiR into Aegis hub design, and an early relationship with Quinbrook ahead of a deployment capital raise.

Who to speak with

M&G Infracapital and TPG Rise

Infrastructure and growth capital · UK and global

Fit 8/10Contracted rollout

Large-scale infrastructure and climate growth investors, both shareholders in GRIDSERVE.

These are the pools that write GBP 50m to GBP 500m cheques where they can see a repeatable network with contracted locations and predictable utilisation. Approach after the first contracted estate exists, with cost per node, revenue per node, maintenance cost, utilisation, payback and contracted term.

Verified evidence

  • TPG, Infracapital and Mitsubishi HC Capital provided a further GBP 100m of equity to GRIDSERVE in July 2025; Infracapital had previously invested GBP 200m. (GRIDSERVE)

They bring

  • - Large-scale infrastructure and climate equity
  • - Sector pattern recognition from charging

  • - AiR node payback is materially shorter than a charging bay, which is an easy comparison to make.

The ask
A relationship-building meeting now and a formal process once 100 to 1,000 nodes are operating with audited utilisation.

Who to speak with

National Wealth Fund and Aviva Investors

Infrastructure and growth capital · UK

Fit 8/10National infrastructure stage

Public and institutional capital that has already funded distributed UK transport infrastructure.

Who to speak with

IONITY UK

Site estate and deployment · UK, with a stated London hub pipeline

Fit 9/10Approach now

European high-power charging network, backed by vehicle manufacturers and infrastructure capital, now opening UK destination hubs.

Charging hubs create the one thing AiR needs and forecourts struggle to guarantee: a deliberate ten to thirty minute stationary dwell with the driver present. IONITY is defining a new retail destination format right now, so AiR can be written into the format specification rather than retrofitted across a built estate. On an EV, tyre pressure is a range and efficiency product, not just a safety product, which puts AiR directly inside IONITY's own customer promise.

Verified evidence

  • Opened its first Greenwich Shopping Park ultra-rapid hub on 19 August 2026 with 12 bays at up to 400 kW. (IONITY)
  • Describes Greenwich as the first in a pipeline of London charging hubs, a deliberate move beyond a motorway-oriented network into high-footfall retail destinations. (IONITY)
  • Network is backed by a consortium of vehicle manufacturers alongside infrastructure capital. (IONITY)

They bring

  • - New-build destination hub sites with high dwell and high footfall
  • - A stated London pipeline where format decisions are still open
  • - Manufacturer-consortium backing and brand credibility with EV drivers
  • - Power infrastructure and site services already engineered
  • - An existing app, payment and customer identity layer

We bring

  • - Four-channel automated correction inside the charge window
  • - Registration lookup and OEM pressure intelligence
  • - Verified vehicle-readiness record after every session
  • - Range and efficiency benefit attributable to correction
  • - Funded hardware, installation and maintenance at no capital cost to the host
  • - Seven-metric pilot scorecard and weekly reporting

Synergies

  • - Charging dwell is currently dead time; AiR converts part of it to a measured outcome without extending the stop.
  • - Rolling resistance is a larger share of energy demand on an EV, so correction reads as added usable range on the leg just paid for.
  • - A readiness record gives IONITY a customer-value and safety position no competing network holds.
  • - Writing AiR into the hub format now costs nothing; retrofitting a built estate later costs everything.

The ask
A scoping call with UK commercial and network development, then three to five sites from the London pipeline for a funded twelve-week readiness pilot with AiR carrying the hardware cost.

Who to speak with

Fastned UK

Site estate and deployment · UK, 40 ultra-rapid hubs

Fit 8/10Approach now

Listed European ultra-rapid charging operator building canopy-covered destination hubs with a strong customer-experience focus.

Forty UK hubs is large enough to produce statistically meaningful pilot evidence and small enough that a single successful relationship can influence a significant proportion of the network. Fastned already sells the experience of the stop, so a service that returns the driver to the road with correct pressures and more usable range extends a promise they are already making rather than adding an unrelated product.

Verified evidence

  • Opened its first Liverpool hub at Brunswick Business Park on 20 August 2026 with eight 400 kW chargers, close to the city centre and major commercial areas. (Fastned)
  • The Liverpool opening took the Fastned UK estate to 40 ultra-rapid charging hubs. (Fastned)
  • Brand positioning is built around the quality of the stop and canopy-covered hub design rather than kilowatts alone. (Fastned)

They bring

  • - Forty UK ultra-rapid hubs with covered canopy footprint
  • - City-centre and commercial-district locations with genuine dwell
  • - A brand that already competes on stop quality
  • - Listed-company discipline and a clear rollout cadence

We bring

  • - Automated four-channel correction inside the charge window
  • - Verified readiness record and driver app
  • - Efficiency and range benefit reported per site
  • - Funded hardware and maintenance, no host capital
  • - A pilot scorecard designed to be published

Synergies

  • - Canopy hubs already have covered, marked bays, which suits a fixed AiR station and a dry driver interaction.
  • - A forty-site estate can support estate-wide rollout on the evidence of two or three sites.
  • - Their experience-led brand makes vehicle readiness a marketing asset, not just an operational one.
  • - City-centre commercial locations produce the repeat-usage data that proves habit formation.

The ask
A pilot at two or three UK hubs measured on the same seven-metric scorecard, with an agreed route to estate-wide rollout if the evidence supports it.

CALL SHEET

AiR CALL SHEET - AIR-serv Europe (Simon Bolton, CEO, UK and Europe, AIR-serv)

OBJECTIVE
A ninety-minute technical and commercial session with AIR-serv management and a Caledonia observer, to scope an AIR-serv x AiR next-generation platform: they manufacture, install and service, AiR supplies the intelligence layer, IP and software, revenue is shared.

OPENING (say this)
Thanks for taking the call. I will be direct about why I asked for it. You have built Europe's leading forecourt air infrastructure business, and we have built what we believe is the intelligent digital evolution of it. Rather than spend three years recreating each other's advantages, I wanted to test whether there is a version of this we build together.

SCOPE - work through these
1. Position AiR as an upgrade layer for their existing estate, never as a competing inflator.
2. Describe the machine in one sentence: registration in, correct OEM pressure on all four tyres in about ninety seconds, verified record out.
3. Name the four problems they solve for us in one conversation: manufacturing, field engineering, site access and collections.
4. Name the four things we add to them: vehicle intelligence, recurring data revenue, consumer app, and a fleet and warranty compliance product.
5. Reference their own model back to them: fully managed, no upfront cost to the retailer, revenue share. That is exactly how AiR should be deployed.
6. Point at FleetFob and propose AiR as the verified-compliance tier above it.
7. Be explicit about the IP boundary early: AiR retains software, data, AI and brand; hardware manufacture and service can sit with them.
8. Mention Caledonia's stated intent to grow the machine estate and ask whether an investor-side conversation should run in parallel.
9. Close on a scoping session, not a purchase order.

QUESTIONS - let them talk
- Where do you see the analogue air estate in ten years, and what does the digital version of it look like to you?
- How are retailers currently pushing you on data, reporting and ESG evidence at site level?
- What is your typical payback and revenue-share shape on a new machine install?
- How much of FleetFob demand is really about verified compliance rather than access?
- If you wanted an intelligent unit in the estate, would you build it, buy it, or partner for it?
- Who else, internally and at board level, needs to be in the room for this to move?

OBJECTION HANDLING
Q: We already make inflators.
A: You do, and better than anyone in Europe. This is not an inflator conversation. This is registration lookup, OEM pressure selection, four-channel control, a verified record and a data platform sitting on top of hardware you are already best placed to build.

Q: Why would we not just build this ourselves?
A: You could, and it would cost you years and the IP position. The vehicle-data, pressure-logic and verification layers are already built, protected and running. Partnering converts three years of engineering into a deployment programme this financial year.

Q: Drivers will not pay more for it.
A: The unit does not depend on a higher coin price. The upside is dwell, retailer differentiation, fleet subscription, warranty compliance and data. The consumer transaction can stay exactly where it is.

Q: Servicing an intelligent machine is harder.
A: It is remotely diagnosable, which is the opposite. Your engineers get fault data before they travel, and first-time fix rates go up rather than down.

EVIDENCE TO HAVE OPEN
- States more than 23,000 machines across 15,000+ customer locations with 200+ field engineers, and UK manufacturing in Wigan and Stoke. (air-serv.co.uk)
- Installs under a fully managed revenue-share structure with no upfront cost to the retailer, including maintenance, labour and parts. (air-serv.co.uk)
- Acquired by Caledonia Private Capital for GBP 143m in 2023; carried at GBP 215m as at 31 March 2026 with a thesis of expanding the installed estate. (Caledonia)
- Moved into digital fleet services with FleetFob, giving fleets centralised access to the inflation network. (air-serv.co.uk)
- Appointed Simon Bolton as CEO of UK and Europe in August 2026 with a mandate around high growth, international expansion and technology innovation. (air-serv.co.uk)

CLOSE
Would you be open to a ninety-minute working session with your engineering and commercial leads, where we bring the unit, the data platform and a draft revenue-share model, and you tell us where it breaks inside your operating reality?

AFTER THE CALL

Stuart

RAC contact, initial conversation - RAC

Spoken, warmcall1d overdue

What was sent

Spoke by phone and stated explicitly that the RAC material is a concept built for evaluation, not a live partnership or a claim of affiliation.

The ask

Route the concept to whoever owns member propositions and partnerships.

Where it stands

Constructive call. The concept framing was made clear verbally on the day, which is now on the record and directly relevant to the later legal challenge.

Next move

Send a short written recap of the call confirming the concept framing and offering the access code, so the verbal clarification exists in writing.

It closes the gap the legal challenge tried to open, and it keeps the only warm RAC relationship intact.

Simon Bolton, target

Chief executive, UK and Europe - AIR-serv Europe

Blocked at switchboardcallDue today

What was sent

Called the main line. Did not get past the gatekeeper and no message was routed through.

The ask

Fifteen minutes on an intelligent upgrade path for the installed forecourt estate.

Where it stands

Blocked. Cold calling a CEO through a switchboard has a very low hit rate without a referred name or a written hook already sitting in the inbox.

Next move

Stop cold calling. Route through Theo Tizard at Caledonia instead, and send a written one page brief to AIR-serv so a follow-up call has something to reference. Ask the gatekeeper who owns technology partnerships, not for the CEO.

Gatekeepers block requests without a reason to pass them on. A named referrer or an existing document converts the same call.

AIR-serv deal leadership - Caledonia Private Capital

Blocked at switchboardcallDue today

What was sent

Called the main line. Did not get past the gatekeeper.

The ask

A conversation about the intelligent upgrade path for an asset already carried at a substantial uplift.

Where it stands

Blocked at the front desk. The LinkedIn route into Theo Tizard is already open and is the stronger path.

Next move

Work the accepted LinkedIn connection with Theo Tizard rather than the switchboard. Send the four page strategic brief and ask for a 20 minute call, naming the valuation uplift argument.

A warm accepted connection beats a cold switchboard every time, and the brief already exists.

UK commercial and network development

Commercial partnerships and hub format - IONITY UK

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue today

What was sent

Approach to make. Charge. Check. Ready. proposition built off the Greenwich Shopping Park opening on 19 August and the stated London hub pipeline, framed on range and efficiency rather than safety.

The ask

A scoping call, then three to five London pipeline sites for a funded twelve-week readiness pilot with AiR carrying the hardware cost.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. Proposition and pilot scorecard are built and ready on the EV hub page.

Next move

Send the Charge. Check. Ready. introduction through the IONITY corporate channel, referencing Greenwich by name and date, and ask who owns hub format specification.

The London pipeline format is still open. Being written into the specification now is far cheaper than retrofitting a built estate later.

Delvin Lane

Chief Executive Officer - InstaVolt

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue today

What was sent

Approach to make. Fleet-readiness framing built off InstaVolt joining the Shell Card network and a published estate of 4,250 plus rapid chargers across 1,200 plus locations.

The ask

A ten to twenty site fleet-readiness pilot where charging stops also produce a tyre-condition and correction record for fleet customers.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. Dashboard, pilot design and email are built and gated for the InstaVolt team.

Next move

Send the fleet-readiness introduction through the published sales route, leading on the Shell Card fleet audience rather than on tyre safety.

The fleet channel is the reason InstaVolt joined Shell Card. Readiness records are the natural next line item for that same customer.

Named commercial and compliance leadership

Forecourt services, field engineering and compliance - Suresite, TSG UK and Opus Safety

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue today

What was sent

Approach to make. Built off the Opus acquisition of the Suresite health and safety operation, a reported 3,500 plus station footprint, Suresite unattended payments and TSG field service capability.

The ask

A ten to twenty site pilot using existing field-service and compliance capability to install, maintain and evidence AiR rather than building a new service organisation.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. Dashboard prepared with the compliance and DSEAR framing and both outreach routes.

Next move

Send the commercial introduction and the separate compliance-route email, positioning AiR as an addition to an existing service contract rather than a new supplier relationship.

This group can reach a very large station footprint without AiR carrying installation or maintenance headcount.

Dug Dudley

Head of Fleet Engineering - The AA

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue today

What was sent

Approach to make. AiR Patrol framing built off the 36 MAN TGM 15.250 recovery trucks announced on 3 September and the Greenfleet EV Rally week.

The ask

A 45 minute discovery session, then a five to ten vehicle AiR Patrol field trial shaped with Fleet Engineering and patrol feedback.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. September briefing, patrol workflow and trial design are live on the AA dashboard.

Next move

Send the AiR Patrol introduction through the AA corporate partnerships channel, referencing the new recovery fleet by name and asking for the Fleet Engineering and Connected Car colleagues on the call.

A patrol-led co-development programme is already running. Reported ownership interest makes a credible innovation story more valuable now, not less.

Dan Sparks

Chief Executive, RAC Business - RAC

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue today

What was sent

Approach to make. Preventative Mobility framing built off the 8 September expansion of the OMODA & JAECOO partnership into full Vehicle Off Road work, with RAC established as an authorised dealer and 400 mobile mechanics able to complete selected warranty and recall work.

The ask

A 45 minute scoping call, then a twelve week trial across ten to twenty mobile mechanic vehicles with a matched control group, funded entirely by AiR.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. Trial design, triage feed format and the six measure scorecard are live on the RAC mobility dashboard.

Next move

Send the Preventative Mobility introduction through the RAC Business route, naming the 8 September authorisation and asking for manufacturer partnerships and mobile services on the call.

Manufacturer authorisation makes a tyre finding actionable at the kerbside. That is the shift that turns AiR from advisory data into completed work.

Richard Taylor

Chief Real Estate Officer - Lidl GB

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue today

What was sent

Approach to make. One car park investment, two essential vehicle services, built off the 8 September announcement of a further £10m in EV infrastructure and around 100 new rapid chargers at existing stores.

The ask

Three to five stores from the new charger programme for a twelve week pilot plus a matched control store, with AiR funding, installing and maintaining the hardware.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. Pilot design, footprint requirement and loyalty case are live on the Lidl dashboard.

Next move

Send the introduction through the published Lidl GB corporate route, asking to align the install with the charger civils so the groundworks happen once.

Lidl owns its charge points outright, so one estate owner decision can cover the estate, and the civils window is open now.

Michael Shaw and Eddie Davidson

Chief Executive, and Head of Technology - Aegis Energy

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue today

What was sent

Approach to make. Fleet readiness framing built off the construction start at Smithywood Business Park near M1 Junction 35, a spring 2027 opening, 100 plus vehicles a day and a network running on the Cloudics platform.

The ask

A single site launch pilot at Sheffield commissioned before or alongside opening, plus a separate technical conversation on Cloudics integration.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. Commercial vehicle pilot design, integration boundary and network expansion route are live on the Aegis dashboard.

Next move

Send the introduction to the chief executive and request Eddie Davidson on the call, framed on pouring the readiness base with the site rather than retrofitting a working hub.

Sheffield civils close out long before the spring 2027 opening, and inclusion in the template decides four further hubs.

Ollie Chatten

Chief Executive, EZO - EZO

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue today

What was sent

Approach to make. Charge + Check framing built off the EUR 150m non-recourse close of 16 September 2026, the fifteen-year GBP 176m Midlands concession, and the fact that the EZO app already holds vehicle make, model and registration.

The ask

Five to ten AiR installations alongside EZO Midlands sites for twelve live weeks, at no cost to EZO, plus a technical conversation on passing vehicle identity at session start.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. Pilot design, integration boundary and concession framing are live on the EZO dashboard.

Next move

Send the introduction through the published EZO route, leading on the financing structure rather than the hardware, and request the commercial partnerships team on the call.

The Midlands concession horizon is long enough to test AiR economics properly, and the app already collects the vehicle identity AiR needs.

Sen Mansourpour

Director of new business, AA Roadside - The AA

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue in 2d

What was sent

Cold introduction sent first: five years of development, the tragedy behind it, the Vixa synergy, and the funded pilot ask. Access block with credentials included in the email.

The ask

A ninety minute technical session, then a 5 to 10 site funded pilot with 5 patrol units, 5 member handhelds and 5 home wall units.

Where it stands

No reply yet. Email carries the dashboard credentials so he can look before he answers.

Next move

Call the AA switchboard and ask for his office directly, referencing the email by subject line. If no reply by day 4, send the one page pilot summary as a second touch.

He is the decision owner on new business. Everyone else in the AA thread routes back to him.

Regan Greeff

RAC, raised the brand challenge - RAC

Replied, objection handledemailDue in 1d

What was sent

Received a legal-toned challenge over use of RAC marks. Replied firmly: the disclaimers are explicit and site-wide, the framing was already given verbally to Stuart, and the material is an unsolicited concept, not a claim of partnership.

The ask

Treat it as a commercial opportunity rather than a legal issue, and take the access code to review it properly.

Where it stands

Compliance action taken regardless: RAC removed from public navigation and the page moved behind a credentialled gate with a concept-only notice.

Next move

Do not chase. Send one line confirming the page is now gated and offer the credentials for internal review. Then let it sit.

The compliance point is answered. Any further push converts a solvable brand question into a dispute.

TyreSafe - TyreSafe

Spoken, warmcallDue in 3d

What was sent

Spoke by phone and followed up by email with the TyreSafe portal and the verified-check standard.

The ask

Endorsement in principle of the measurement standard, and a named role in the national inflation index.

Where it stands

Warm. A safety body validating the method is the single cheapest credibility asset available, and it de-risks every commercial conversation that follows.

Next move

Convert the warmth into a written statement of support, however narrow. Offer to co-author the annual national inflation index.

A quotable third-party position on the method is what unlocks the AA, the insurers and the manufacturers at once.

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue in 3d

What was sent

Emailed with the Ferrari-liveried dealer portal and the owner-kit proposition for prestige retail.

The ask

One dealership as a showcase site, with the owner kit issued at handover.

Where it stands

No reply yet. Prestige retail is the shortest route to a visible, photographable installation.

Next move

Follow up in 4 days with the aftersales angle: verified handover records and a service-retention hook, which is the metric a head of business is measured on.

The first message sold the brand fit. The second has to sell his own numbers.

UK estate strategy and on-site services - Fastned UK

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue in 1d

What was sent

Approach to make. Same proposition, opened on the Liverpool Brunswick Business Park hub on 20 August taking the UK estate to forty ultra-rapid hubs.

The ask

A pilot at two or three UK hubs on the seven-metric scorecard, with an agreed route to estate-wide rollout on the evidence.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. Sequenced immediately behind IONITY so the two run in parallel rather than in series.

Next move

Send the same introduction with the Liverpool opening as the hook, then follow with the other four operators in the same week so one proposition covers the whole channel.

Forty sites is big enough for meaningful evidence and small enough that one relationship can move a large share of the network.

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue in 1d

What was sent

The ask

A single-hub pilot proving that a tyre check can be as frictionless as an Autocharge session, measured on the seven-metric scorecard.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. Dashboard and commercial-partners route are prepared.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. Dashboard prepared with the funded-model comparison and store-level pilot design.

Next move

Infrastructure debt - Aberdeen Investments

Emailed, awaiting replyemailDue in 60d

What was sent

Approach to hold. Opens on their EUR 80m participation in the EZO facility, anchored by Standard Life, and asks what their infrastructure-debt team would need to see from distributed readiness infrastructure.

The ask

Thirty minutes on revenue quality, counterparty mix, coverage ratios and residual value, not capital.

Where it stands

Not yet sent. Deliberately held until measured utilisation and revenue per node exist from live sites.

Next move

Hold until twelve weeks of measured pilot utilisation and at least one signed long-term site agreement exist, then send the financing-architecture message.

One bump carrying a new asset only: the one page pilot summary or the Vixa case study.

A new document is a legitimate reason to write again. Repeating the pitch reads as pressure.

Four parallel contacts in one organisation

Stop broadening. Let one thread become the owner and route everything through it.

Parallel pitching inside one company creates internal confusion about who is responsible for saying yes.

Blocked at the switchboard

Abandon the cold call. Find the referred name or place a written brief first, then call and reference it.

Gatekeepers exist to filter unreferenced requests. Referral or paperwork changes the category of the call.

Legal or brand objection raised

Answer once, in writing, factually. Gate the page, keep the disclaimer, then stop.

The compliance point is solvable. Continued argument converts it into a dispute nobody wins.

Warmth decays. A written artefact is the only thing that survives a reorganisation or a holiday.

A specific, small, dated ask converts. An open request for thoughts does not.
